The SJCS Varsity girls finished second in the Pre-Region 2-3A cross country meet at Palmetto High School on Tuesday.
Odette Brown (22:40) finished third to lead the Knights, who placed four in the top 10. Niamh Novak (22:59) was sixth, Daniela Fernandez (23:11) eighth and Bea Hamilton (23:24) 10th.
The girls, with 49 points, were just five behind first-place Powdersville in the five-team field.
The SJCS Varsity boys came in fifth. Burke Moorman (10th in 19:10) was the top finisher for the Knights.

The SJCS Middle School girls and boys competed in a Pre-Carolina Middle School Conference meet at St. Joe's on Tuesday but no results were kept.
Volleyball
The SJCS Middle School volleyball team lost to visiting Christ Church in three sets on Tuesday. The Knights split the first two sets and then lost the third, 17-15.
