Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team Opens With Win Over Wade Hampton

Brendan Alvis had five goals and two assists, and the SJCS Varsity boys lacrosse team opened its season with a 13-6 victory at Wade Hampton on Wednesday night.

Mills McCauley scored four goals and Mason Brierton had two goals and three assists for the Knights, who won their opener for the second time in the last three years.

Garrett Greer had a goal and two assists, Chase Kennedy scored once and Walker Wolfram contributed four assists.

Seniors Alvis and Brierton are back after having set school single-season records for goals and assists, respectively: Alvis with 29 goals and Brierton with 17 assists.

The Knights will play their home opener Friday, taking on Hillcrest at 7:30 PM. The JV Knights will play Hillcrest at 5:30 PM.

Girls Lacrosse

The Varsity girls lacrosse team opened its season with a 10-7 loss at Woodmont on Tuesday night. The Knights lost against Mauldin in their first home game Wednesday, 15-7.
