Brayden Johnson Wins Vote For GN Athlete of the Week

SJCS junior running back Brayden Johnson has won in voting for The Greenville News high school football athlete of the week for his performance against Ware Shoals.

Brayden collected 54 percent (40,772) of the 75,316 votes cast this week. J.L. Mann's Ethan Anderson was second with 43 percent (32,882).

Brayden had 12 carries for 131 yards, including touchdown runs of 37, 29 and 10 yards, in the Knights' 61-12 victory.

So far this season, Brayden has 107 carries for 663 yards (6.2 per carry) and 14 touchdowns for the Knights, who are 5-0 and No. 2 in the state in Class 1A (see poll HERE) entering Friday's home game against Southside Christian.
