Students in the SJCS Service Committee felt that it was important to bring back the 6th grade buddy program because so many of them experienced it when they were in the 6th grade.
This semester, each 6th grade student -- in some cases two or three -- will be paired with a junior or senior and will spend every other Monday building community in the JPII Center.
This past Monday, the 6th graders were paired up with their buddies for the first time, and their initial meeting consisted of a few introductory questions to help them get to know one another.
