Students Collect Honors at Junior Thespian Festival

Eight students representing SJCS participated for the first time in person Saturday at the SC Junior Thespian Festival, celebrating educational theatre with other Middle Schools throughout the state at Rawlinson Road Middle School in Rock Hill.
Eight individual events were presented as part of the International Thespian Excellence Awards:
- Ryan Lanza and Lincoln Davis both competed in Solo Acting. Ryan received an Excellent for his performance and Lincoln received a Superior.
- Anna Quesnelle performed a selection for the Solo Musical Theater category and received a Superior.
- Noah Simmons, Catherine Hamilton and Elyse Kucinic participated in the Duet Musical Theatre category. Noah and Catherine's performance received an Excellent; Catherine and Elyse's performance received a Superior.
- Anna Quesnelle and Elyse Kucinic, along with Lincoln Davis and Jacob Exposito performed scenes for the Duet Acting category; both pairs received Superiors.
- Adalynn Harman presented her creation of Glinda's dress from Wicked in the Costume Construction category and received a Superior.
