SJCS History teacher Dr. Kevin Stanton participated in the 46th Assault on Mt. Mitchell on Monday, May 22.
The event is a 102.7-mile self-paced ride from Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in downtown Spartanburg, along the Blue Ridge Parkway, to the summit at Mt. Mitchell State Park in North Carolina —- a total vertical ascent of nearly 11,000 feet.
Dr. Stanton is the moderator of the St. Joseph's Bike Club.
