Jack Murphy (Class of 2023) has been chosen Class 1A Player of the Year by the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association.
Jack batted nearly .700 and hit four of his eight home runs during the postseason in leading the Knights to the District 3 championship. He also was the Region 1 Player of the Year and a North-South All-Star selection.
Nina Brown (Class of 2024) has been recognized as South Carolina Coaches Association for Women's Sports Class 1A Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year.
Nina won the 1A state championship in November at Sandhills Research Center in Columbia, finishing in 19:52 -- eight seconds ahead of the previous year's winner.
Emily Normand (Class of 2023) had previously been announced as SCCAWS Class 1A Volleyball Player of the Year.
Nina and Emily will be among those recognized during the SCCAWS Player of the Year Luncheon at the Brookland Baptist Banquet and Conference Center June 17 in West Columbia.
