Melina Norton and Patrick Reese, members of the SJCS Class of 2022, have been named to the 2021-2022 All-Upstate Girls and Boys Tennis First Teams as selected by the staffs of the Anderson Independent-Mail, Spartanburg Herald-Journal and The Greenville News.
Melina earned All-State honors for the second time in three years with her performance in the Class 3A/2A/1A individual state tennis tournament. She also was chosen to play in the North-South All-Star Match, one of just 12 players chosen from across the state in all five classifications.
Patrick finished fifth in the Class 3A/2A/1A individual tournament, won the consolation bracket and made the All-State team. He was Region 2-2A Player of the Year for the second year in a row and was chosen for the North-South All-Star Match but was unable to participate.
