SJCS junior Patrick Reese and senior Collin Maides made the Class AA all-state boys tennis team with their performances in the state singles championship earlier this week.
Patrick won two matches — including a victory over Collin in the second round — and lost two matches. Collin won three and lost two, and both players advanced to the final eight of the consolation bracket.
In addition, Patrick received the tournament’s Sportsmanship Award, presented by the South Carolina Tennis Patrons Foundation. Linda Sandusky, secretary of the South Carolina High School Tennis Association, was on hand Friday to present the award to Patrick.
SJCS seniors Julia Jacques and Adrianna Delacruz will participate in Saturday’s North-South girls tennis all-star match at River Bluff High School in Lexington.
