St. Joe's community assists Home Works of America

On Saturday, November 11, members of the St. Joseph's community assisted Home Works of America, spending the day at the home of a disabled Greenville resident who had a leaky roof, a deteriorated porch and an overgrown yard full of kudzu.

SJCS students Amanda Schmidt, Vine Stanton and Harrison Zinkann, teacher Kevin Stanton and parent Steve Zinkann joined hands with members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville to render repairs that included a brand new roof, new front porch and steps and a clean and tidy yard.

St. Joseph’s has a long history of rendering community service with Home Works of America and will offer additional service opportunities next spring and summer. Parents are always welcome to join their children at these events.
