SJCS Boys Swim Team Wins Fifth Straight State Title

The SJCS boys swim team won its FIFTH consecutive Class 3A state championship Monday at the North Charleston Aquatic Center!!

There were amazing swims by all of the Knights, as evidenced by the fact that they won despite reaching the podium only three times: Colin Jordan took first in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Jordan, Gabe Lagleva, Evan Harman and Owen Byrd finished second, clinching the title for the Knights.

St. Joe’s is just the second school in the state to win at least five consecutive state titles in boys swimming. Congrats to Head Coach Becky Van Evera, Assistant Coach Karen Miros and the Knights on this outstanding achievement!!
