Varsity Knights Roll; JV Teams Sweep Palmetto

Carter Bears scored 13 points, Deux Greene added 12 points and the SJCS Varsity boys cruised to a 57-21 victory at Carolina High in a Region 2-3A game on Thursday night.

Jack Stewart scored eight points and Carl Harrison and Smith Crick each had seven points for the Knights, who led 24-12 at halftime and opened up a 43-15 advantage after three quarters.

Will Saunders and Caleb Hood each had four points for the Knights (15-3, 5-2), and Barrett Barnhill had two points.

Varsity Girls

The Varsity girls remained unbeaten and in sole possession of first place in the region after their 64-22 win at Carolina.

Evie Adams nailed four 3-pointers and scored 23 points, and Lola Kelly pitched in 17 points for the Knights (14-6, 7-0).

Tiffany Helmer had nine points, Londyn Woods had five points, Macy Caldwell and Gianna Franchina each had three points and Eva Cifuni and Eliza Carter had two points apiece.

Junior Varsity Boys

Jay Sanders had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the JV boys to a 62-43 win over visiting Palmetto on Thursday night.

Zander Estevez had 11 points, and Deniym Wilkins contributed 10 points and six rebounds for the Knights, who led 32-11 by halftime.

Grant Brasington had eight points and three assists, Julian Cordi had seven points and Noah Ball had six points and three assists. Caden Field had three points, and Miles Norman had two points and four rebounds.

Junior Varsity Girls

Zoe Theodore scored eight points, Caroline Burress and Campbell McCart scored six points each and the JV girls beat Palmetto 35-10 on Thursday night.

Kate Marchant scored five points for the Knights, who led 11-0 after the first quarter and 18-4 at halftime.

Annabel Burress and Mia Lanza each had three points, and Caroline Doar and Elizabeth McGehee had two points apiece.
