Varsity Baseball Rallies Past Anderson Cavaliers

The SJCS Varsity baseball team scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past the Anderson Cavaliers 6-5 on Tuesday night.

With St. Joe's trailing 5-4, Josh Lyons led off the Knights' half of the sixth with a double. Quinn Walsh followed with a double that scored Lyons and tied the scored at 5-5.

After a one-out single by Christian Timko, Walsh scored from third on a wild pitch, putting the Knights on top 6-5.

Nolan Green got the last out in the sixth and pitched a scoreless seventh to pick up the win. He struck out three and allowed one hit.

Charlie Sanders started for the Knights (5-2), allowing two runs (both earned) on six hits through four innings, while striking out five and walking three.

Walsh, Timko and Green had two hits apiece, and Walsh, Green, Jackson Campbell, Alex Gibeau and Frank Remsberg each drove in a run.
