SJCS Students Shine at Junior Thespian Festival

Nine students represented SJCS at the South Carolina Junior Thespian Festival at Castle Heights Middle School in Rock Hill on Saturday, May 2, celebrating educational theatre with other Middle Schools throughout the state.
The results of their competition work was as follows:
- We had nine events presented as part of the International Thespian Excellence Awards. Of these entries, seven received Superior ratings.
- In Solo Musical Theatre, Esther Kiser, Audrey Naas, Rachel Quesnelle and Bristol Wannemacher received a Superior for their performances.
- In Solo Acting, Colton Province received an Excellent and Rachel Quesnelle received a Superior.
- In Two-Person Scenes, Esther Kiser and Bristol Wannemacher received an Excellent; Bear Jones and Xander Shea received a Superior.
- In the Costume Design category, Audrey Naas received a Superior for her designs for Beauty and the Beast.
