SJCS Soccer Teams Fall Short Against CCES

The SJCS Varsity boys soccer team came up short against rival Christ Church in a Region 2-3A match on Thursday night, 3-1.

The visiting Cavaliers, leading 1-0 at halftime, made it 2-0 just over 10 minutes into the second half.

Then, in the 69th minute, Rhys Roberts sent a beautiful centering pass right out front to Charlie Baker, who scored to pull the Knights to within 2-1.

But in the 74th minute, Christ Church (5-3, 3-1) scored an insurance goal, and the Knights (6-1, 3-1) lost for the first time this season.
