SJCS Community Honors Namesake on Worker Day

SJCS Community Honors Namesake on Worker Day

For more than two decades, St. Joseph's Catholic School has set aside one day each year to do charitable work in the community.

2026 St Joseph the Worker Day - Harvest Hope

We do so in recognition of the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker Day, which is celebrated by the Catholic Church on May 1, but this year, our community service day was Friday, March 20 -- the day after the Feast of St. Joseph.

On that day, students, staff and faculty members were helping in a variety of ways, such as cleaning, gardening, making blankets, organizing and packing; and at numerous locations, such as United Ministries, Greenville Center for Creative Arts, Ronald McDonald House, Harvest Hope, Annie's House by Sustaining Way and Simpsonville Post Acute nursing home.

In honor of the school's namesake, all were responding to God's call to serve.
