SJCS Seniors Experience Red Door Ceremony

SJCS Seniors Experience Red Door Ceremony

St. Joseph’s Catholic School held its annual Spring Red Door Ceremony on Friday, May 8.

For the first time, a Red Door Reception -- which took place in Barbara McGrath Hall -- was held for senior parents.

Then, following the High School Academic Awards in the JPII Center, parents gathered in the Commons and cheered as each member of the Class of 2026 exited the Red Door, which was brought from the original, small house on Augusta Road that first opened to St. Joe’s students in 1993.

The Fall Red Door Ceremony is for rising freshmen and newcomers as they begin their high school experience at St. Joe’s.

The Spring Red Ceremony signifies the end of the high school experience for the seniors, when, as Founding Board Chair Margaret Ann Moon said, they are graduates who “are destined to change the world.”
