Roundup: Softball, Girls Lacrosse, Baseball, Tennis

Stella Nash went 5 for 5 with a home run and two doubles, seven RBIs and three runs scored to lead the SJCS softball team to a 23-8 win in four innings over host Carolina on Tuesday.

Nora Nash was 4 for 4 with three RBIs and three runs scored, and Jackie Garrett was 2 for 3 with a double, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Addie Murphy and Sophia Oehler each scored three runs for the Knights. Reese Martin scored two runs, and Elise Kuhl drove in two runs.

Varsity Baseball

Quinn Walsh had three hits, including a double and a triple, knocked in two runs and pitched three one-hit innings, leading the Varsity Knights to a 15-0 win over visiting Carolina High on Tuesday night in a Region 2-3A game.

Josh Lyons, John Eberstein, Sam Utecht and Lucas Thompson each had two hits for the Knights (9-3, 5-0), Lyons, Utecht and John Campbell each had two RBIs; and Lyons, Utecht, Nolan Green and Jackson Campbell each scored two runs.

JV Baseball

Hugh Clements and Larry Bolchoz each knocked in three runs, and the JV Knights beat Carolina High 19-1 in three innings on Tuesday.

Clements went 2 for 3 and scored three runs, and Miles Parrick was 2 for 3 with a double and three runs scored. Warren Bach also was 2 for 3, with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Guy Henry had two hits and scored twice, Beau Barnhill scored three runs and Cooper Bach drove in two runs. Miles Lynn scored two runs, and Barnhill and Owen Frazier each knocked in a run.

Lynn pitched three hitless innings. He allowed one earned run while striking out eight and walking four.

Middle School Baseball

Levi Norris and Carter Reinstein combined on a five-inning one-hitter, and the Middle Knights blanked host Spartanburg Day 10-0 on Tuesday.

Norris pitched the first four innings, allowing one hit while striking out nine and walking one. Reinstein kept the Griffins scoreless and hitless in the fifth.

Norris also had two hits and knocked in two runs for the Knights, and Taylor Rogers had two RBIs. Cohen Okuley and Michael Lynn each drove in a run.

Girls Lacrosse

The Varsity girls lacrosse team lost to visiting Woodmont on Tuesday night, 11-8.

Kristen Nelson, Sonia Julio Untener, Liza May Perry and Molly Monroe each scored two goals for the Knights (3-6), and Julio Untener and Anna Page Sparkman each had an assist.

Goalie Julia Su made 21 saves.

Boys Tennis

The Varsity boys tennis team lost to visiting Southside Christian 4-3 in a Region 2-3A match on Tuesday.
