Roundup: Boys Golf, Baseball, Track and Field

The SJCS Varsity track and field team placed first in four individual events and one relay in a meet at Eastside High School on Wednesday.

Odette Brown won the 800-meter run and led a pack of Knights to the finish line. Eva Cifuni was second, Bea Hamilton third, Sutton Alexander fifth and Corinne Okuley eighth.

Cifuni also placed first in the 1,600. Farra Bryan took sixth in the discus.

The boys had good success in the field events, with Mack Rambo winning the shot put, Max Dannelly taking first in the triple jump and Caden Field placing third in the javelin.

Sam Patterson took second in the 100 and third in the 200. Thomas Potter was runner-up in the 400, Elliott Thompson fifth in the 400, Burke Moorman fifth in the 800 and Eliot Power sixth in the 200.

The Knights' team of Patterson, Rambo, Eliot Power and Tim Power won the 4x100 relay.

Boys Golf

The Knights lost to Christ Church's B team, 167-172, on Wednesday at The Preserve at Verdae Golf Club.

Clyde Williams led the Knights, carding a 41. He was followed by Bryce Chapman (42), George Covington (44), Mo  Laubsch (45), Smith Crick (45) and Cael Roberts (45).

On Saturday, the Knights competed in the Tee-Off Classic at the Fort Club in Ninety Six and shot 323 to take ninth out of 24 teams. The score represented a 14-shot improvement over 2025's tally in the same tournament.

Chapman led the Knights' charge with a 79, followed closely by Roberts and Williams and their matching 80s. Laubsch capped the team score with an 84.

JV Baseball

The JV Knights lost on the road against Palmetto, 15-1 in four innings on Wednesday.

Beau Barnhill's single drove in Warren Bach, who had doubled, to score the only run for the Knights.

Middle School Baseball

The Middle School Knights and host Palmetto played to a 3-3 tie in five innings on Wednesday.

Carter Reinstein went 3 for 3, and Austin Rogers and James Barker each knocked in a run for the Knights.
