Middle School Teams Beat OLR; Tournaments Next

Carter Lindsay scored 12 points and the SJCS Middle School boys basketball team defeated visiting Our Lady of the Rosary 38-31 on Wednesday.

George Covington and Levi Norris added eight and six points, respectively, for the Knights. Rylan Murray had four points, Jack Copeland and John Martin Adams each had three points and Fisher Marosek had two points.

St. Joe's, the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament, will host No. 8 Bob Jones in the first round at 5:15 PM Tuesday.

Middle School Girls

Logan Hand scored all six of her points in the fourth quarter to help the Middle School girls pull away for a 36-24 win over OLR on Wednesday.

Mary Bradford Brown scored 11 points and Katy Gernon had nine points for the Knights, who led 22-17 after three quarters and then outscored the Lions 14-7 in the fourth.

Olivia Patterson had six points and Elizabeth McCall Suggs had four points.

The St. Joe's girls, seeded second, will hosted No. 7 Langston in the first round of the conference tournament at 4:00 PM Tuesday.
