Knights Take on Cavs; Check Out Game Details

Christ Church and St. Joseph's don't need anything extra to spice up their rivalry.

Nonetheless, Friday's 19th meeting between the two Varsity football programs will also be the Region 2-3A opener for both teams. Kickoff at the Cavaliers' Carson Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 PM.

The Cavs have won seven consecutive games against the Knights, including last year's 34-14 victory at St. Joe's. Christ Church has a 15-3 lead in the series. The Cavs won the first eight games; the Knights won the next three before the Cavs began their latest streak.

St. Joe's (3-2) had a bye this past week after a 49-7 loss at Fountain Inn on Sept. 19.

Christ Church (4-1) lost its opener against Hammond (led by former SJCS Coach Jon Wheeler), 17-0, but has won four in a row. The teams have one common opponent; St. Joe's beat Chapman at home, 35-34; Christ Church won at Chapman, 48-20.
