JV Girls, Middle School Boys Register Victories

The SJCS Junior Varsity girls basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter and defeated host First Presbyterian Academy 26-22 on Monday.

Zoe Theodore scored six of her eight points in the fourth quarter and Campbell McCart nailed a 3-pointer in the period for the Knights, who trailed 19-17 after three quarters.

Lili Franek also scored eight points for St. Joe's. Elizabeth McGehee had three points, and Caroline Burress and Maggie Miller each had two points. 

Middle School Boys

The Middle School boys got off to a fast start and held on to beat visiting Southside Christian 29-26 on Friday.

Carter Lindsay and Teigan Styles each scored eight points and George Covington added six points for the Knights, who led 10-2 after one quarter and 19-9 at halftime.

The Sabres gradually closed the gap in the second half, but the Knights were able to secure the victory.

Levi Norris had four points and Luke Stewart had three points.

Middle School Girls

The Middle School girls lost to Southside Christian, 32-17.

Mary Bradford Brown led the Knights with eight points. Elizabeth McCall Suggs had four points, Katy Gernon and Logan Hand each had two points and Reagan Monroe had one point.
