SJCS Juniors Experience Annual Kairos Retreat

SJCS Juniors Experience Annual Kairos Retreat

From December 4-6, 90 juniors and 15 senior leaders attended the 18th annual Kairos Retreat at St. Joseph's. It's a time when the juniors leave behind the ordinary routine, put away their cell phones and become immersed in nature, community and the sacraments of the Church.

2025 Kairos Retreat - Fr. Duncan

The retreat is meant to facilitate a real-life encounter with one another, with one's own heart and with God. The seniors who lead the retreat attended the previous year and want to share their experience with others. In addition to the seniors, Fr. Jonathan Duncan is present to celebrate Mass each day, lead Eucharistic Adoration and hear confessions. The Mission and Ministry Team -- Mr. Lewis, Mrs. Koffskey, Mr. Fowler, Ms. Vas and Mr. Jacob Kiser -- helps to guide the retreat. Many other teachers also attend to give talks or to chaperone.

All in all, it is an experience of the community of St. Joseph's, which is a participation in the greater community of the Church, the Body of Christ.
