Eva Cifuni came in third and led the SJCS girls to a fourth-place finish in the Ed Boehmke Greenville County Cross Country Championships at Greer High School on Saturday.

Cifuni, an 8th-grader, took third with a personal-record (PR) time of 18:29 -- the second-fastest run by a St. Joe's girl in the county meet behind only former Knights standout Ava Dobson's 18:09 in 2018. Eva also has the ninth-fastest time among South Carolina girls this season and the top time among those in the Class of 2030.

Cifuni made the All-County team (Top 20) for the second year in a row. She finished 11th as a 7th-grader.

Cifuni was followed by the Knights' Sutton Alexander (25th), Odette Brown (32nd), Bea Hamilton (43rd) and Corinne Okuley (66th) to produce an impressive fourth-place finish out of 18 teams across all classifications in the county.

The St. Joe's boys finished 17th out of 19 teams. Burke Moorman led the Knights, placing 49th with a PR of 16:54.
