Coach Nash Appointed to New Role Designed to Expand Access to SJCS

Saint Joseph’s Catholic School has announced the launch of the Knights Accessibility and Opportunities Program, a new initiative designed to expand access to faith-based education for students across the Upstate who may face financial or academic barriers.

The program reflects Saint Joseph’s longstanding mission to serve students from diverse backgrounds and aligns with The Saint Joseph’s Way, the school’s guiding commitment to “go to the margins to enroll and equip students to be successful at St. Joseph’s.”

Through Personalized Family Tuition and the availability of new state funding via the Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF), a Saint Joseph’s education is more accessible than ever before.

To lead the initiative, SJCS has appointed Eric Nash as the inaugural Director of the Knights Accessibility and Opportunities Program. Nash currently serves as the school’s Athletic Director and Head Football Coach and will focus full-time on developing pathways for students and families seeking a faith-centered education.

Nash will continue serving as Head Football Coach while transitioning away from his Athletic Director duties. The school has begun a search for a new Athletic Director.

In this role, Nash will partner with community leaders and organizations to identify prospective students and coordinate targeted academic, social, and mentoring support. The program will also emphasize early engagement through youth athletics as a means of building relationships, character, and community.

“This initiative allows us to be more intentional in welcoming and supporting students who desire a Catholic education,” said Head of School Keith Kiser. “Our goal is not only access, but long-term success for students and families.”

Additional details about the Knights Accessibility and Opportunities Program will be shared as the initiative is developed in the coming months.
