Basketball: 6th Grade, Middle School, JV, Varsity

Carter Reinstein scored 10 points to lead the SJCS 6th grade boys basketball team to a 28-15 win over visiting Lead Academy on Monday.

Mills Nash and Charlie Theodore each scored four points for the Knights, who led 12-4 after the first quarter and gradually added to their advantage.

Ford Norris, Rawlings Francis, James Barker, Connor O'Toole and Cohen Okuley each had two points.

Junior Varsity Boys

Jack Stewart scored 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter and the JV boys beat host Palmetto 39-33 on Monday night.

Barrett Barnhill scored 12 points for the Knights (8-2). Deniym Wilkins and Jay Sanders added six and four points, respectively.

On Saturday, the Knights lost to Commerce (Ga.), 60-59 in overtime, in the championship game of the Stephens County (Ga.) JV boys tournament.

Stewart scored 26 points to lead St. Joe's. Sanders had nine points, Barnhill had eight, Wilkins had six, Noah Ball and Zander Estevez each had four and Julian Cordi had two points.

The Knights advanced to the final with a 47-33 win over Stephens County. Ball scored 14 points, and Stewart added 11 points. Barnhill had eight, Wilkins seven, Sanders three and Estevez and Miles Norman two points apiece.

On Friday, Barnhill scored 13 points, Wilkins added nine points and the Knights defeated visiting Carolina 45-27.

Cordi and Caden Field each scored six points. Estevez had five points, and Norman and Grant Brasington each had two points.

Junior Varsity Girls

Campbell McCart scored six of her 10 points in the fourth quarter and Zoe Theodore score all eight of her points in the period, and the JV girls overcame visiting Palmetto 29-17 on Monday night.

Caroline Burress had five points, Maggie Miller had four points and Mia Lanza had two points.

Varsity Girls

Evie Adams had 20 points and four rebounds and the Varsity girls remained unbeaten in Region 2-3A with a 60-32 win over visiting Carolina High on Friday night.

Tiffany Helmer had 18 points, seven steals and four assists, and Lola Kelly had 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Knights (10-6, 3-0).

Stella Nash, Macy Caldwell and Londyn Woods each had two points. Emi Reese Hand had four rebounds, and Eva Cifuni had three steals.

Varsity Boys

Deux Greene scored 18 points and the Varsity boys rolled to a 62-28 victory against visiting Carolina High on Friday night.

Smith Crick had 11 points, Will Saunders eight points and Carl Harrison seven points for the Knights (12-2, 2-1), who led 16-0 after one quarter and 32-10 by halftime.

Sam Patterson and Sam Covington each scored five points, Caleb Hood had three points and Jack Stewart and Carter Bears had two points apiece.

Middle School Boys

Carter Lindsay scored 13 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter -- including 9 of 12 from the free-throw line -- and the Middle School Knights pulled away for a 45-37 win over host Langston Charter on Friday.

John Martin Adams scored 12 points for the Knights, who led 24-21 after three quarters. George Covington and Giorgos Demas each had three points, and Rylan Murray had two points.

Middle School Girls

Katy Gernon and Mary Bradford Brown each scored a game-high 14 points, and the Middle School girls beat Langston Charter 45-37.
