Art Knight Celebrates Students' Joy, Creativity

The second Saint Joseph's Catholic School Art Knight was every bit as fascinating as the first, with the students' creativity on display from the High School Commons all the way through to Barbara McGrath Hall.

And all along the way on Tuesday, February 17, the variety was just as amazing, including acrylic and watercolor paintings, oil pastels, hand built clay tiles, digital designs, print and contour line ink drawings and more.

"It's a celebration of the students and the joy they bring to the school," said SJCS art teacher Mrs. Anne Meyer, "and I'm so proud of them."

A total of 320 pieces of art were on display, the works of 241 students. Ten of those are not even art students; they created art on their own to contribute to the exhibit.

A wonderful display of charcuteries and beverages also were served. A special thank you to parent Mrs. Jamie Flaherty and her army of volunteers.

Congratulations to Mrs. Meyer and all of our incredible artists!
