Minimester Gives Students Nice Chance of Pace

Minimester Gives Students Nice Chance of Pace

SJCS students enjoyed the annual break from the ordinary between the third and fourth quarters known as Minimester last week, an opportunity to learn and connect with teachers, staff and others in a different way.

For High School students, on-campus course offerings included puzzles and board games, rugby,  paper quilting crafts and card games.

There were numerous off-campus offerings, such as hiking and museum visits, as well as a trip to Disney World and Senior Mission Trip, on which 30 students and 10 teachers provided aid for victims of Hurricane Helene in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.

Middle School students had a variety of on-campus options, including drumming, singing, ladies self-defense, art lab, pickleball, building Lego cars, making cookies and the world of Harry Potter.
