Graduation: Congrats to the SJCS Class of 2025!

St. Joseph’s Catholic School held Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2025 on Friday, May 23 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Simpsonville. The senior class totaled 86 graduates who earned the following accolades:

  • 86 seniors (100% of the class) received scholarship offers, with an average award package of $198,054 per student and a total award amount of $17,032,655. Four students were awarded “full rides” (full tuition or tuition and room and board) to at least one college.
  • 86 seniors (100% of the class) received South Carolina state scholarship awards: 17 Palmetto Fellows Scholarships, 58 Life Scholarships and 11 Hope Scholarships.
  • Two members of the class were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation: one was named a National Merit Finalist and one a Commended Student.
  • Six members of the class committed to continue their athletic careers in college.

The Class of 2025 was also distinguished by the addition of nine new colleges and universities to the ever-growing list of schools to which the previous 1,861 graduates were accepted, including South Dakota State University and Yale University.

The Salutation was delivered by Max Orbon, this year’s Father Fox Award recipient; the Senior Class Gift presentation by Sadie Butchko and Peyton Jenkins; and the Farewell Address by Jacob Guirao, the Redemptoris Custos Award recipient.
