The SJCS Varsity girls lacrosse team had a big night Friday, recognizing its seven seniors and then rolling to an 11-3 victory over Mid-Carolina.
Before the game, the Knights honored Elizabeth Armaly, Gabby Bucci, Sadie Butchko, Rosey Carpenter, Alice Martin, Camila Salgado and Ariana Vasallo for their contributions to the program.
Then the Knights (2-6) outscored the Rebels to register their second victory of the season.
Kristen Nelson led the attack for St. Joe's with three goals, and Sonia Julio-Untener and Elasayd Okuley each had two goals.
Seniors Martin, Salgado, Bucci and Vasallo each scored once, and Martin also contributed an assist.
