SJCS sophomore Bella Stewart has been selected Class 3A Swimmer of the Year by the South Carolina Coaches Association of Women's Sports.
Bella will be honored with the other SCCAWS award winners -- including SJCS seventh-grader Eva Cifuni, the 3A Cross Country Runner of the Year -- at a Player of the Year Banquet on Wednesday, June 11 at The Cotton Press Wedding & Event Venue in Little Mountain.
Bella led the Knights to the 3A title in October -- the first state championship for the girls swim team since St. Joe's joined the South Carolina High School League in 2010.
Bella won individual state titles in the 200-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke and also was on the Knights' victorious 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams.
Congratulations to Bella on this tremendous honor!
