American Legion National High School Oratorical Scholarship Program

The James F. Daniel Post #3 of The American Legion is excited to announce this year’s 86th American Legion National High School Oratorical Scholarship Program, “A Constitutional Speech Contest”, which begins in January 2024. The contest is open to all 9th through 12th graders currently enrolled in any Greenville County school and there is no limit on how many times a student may enter and even win at the state level during their high school years. The scholarship money accumulates and is available when they enter college; good for five years, dispersed in even amounts each year.

This is an amazing opportunity to earn scholarship money and become better citizens who are more well-informed about our Constitution. Once again, this year’s scholarship amounts are very impressive with our local, quadrant, and state winners earning up to $4,500 in scholarship money.

Attached you will find the official press release detailing all of the dates, references, and awards as well as a promotional flyer.
