Course Description:

This is a one-semester course for students who desire to learn about the foundations of visual art, explored through the use of various media. Students will study: Elements of Art and Principles of Design; graphite drawing, including still life and people, focusing on form, value, and color theory; and acrylic painting. Students will learn how to “speak without using words,” various techniques of art production, and creative problem-solving skills.
