College Counseling

The College Counseling Program at St. Joseph’s Catholic School is offered to assist every SJCS student in selecting and gaining admission to colleges. The College Counseling Program begins during a student’s freshman and sophomore year with general information provided in a group setting. Freshmen and sophomores will participate in group meetings each year. Formal and individual counseling begins during a student’s junior year—primarily during the second semester. During the fall of the senior year, the college counselor will assist students in narrowing their college choices, completing applications, and obtaining school recommendations when required by colleges. All college applications are reviewed with the college counselors and then the college counselors send transcripts, letters of recommendation and any other needed documents to the colleges. View the College Counseling Handbook for details.
