Saint Joseph’s Catholic School is seeking a caring, organized, and student-centered Part-Time Student Support Specialist to support students in achieving academic success. This individual will work closely with students, parents, and faculty to support academic growth, monitor progress, and assist in the implementation of student accommodation plans. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with learning differences, strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for helping students develop confidence, independence, and effective learning strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Proctor Achievement Center (AC) daily from 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Assist with the management and maintenance of student accommodation plans
• Facilitate communication among parents, teachers, and students regarding academic progress and support needs
• Send weekly missing work reports to students and parents
• Provide coaching and support to students with accommodation plans who are not enrolled in Academic Success
• Offer coaching to students without accommodation plans upon referral from the Dean for Academic Success

Team Details:

• Grades: 6–8
• Season Dates: July 30 – October 17
• Compensation: Stipend position
• Responsibilities Include:
  • Planning and leading practices
  • Coaching games and match play
  • Teaching fundamental skills and game strategy
  • Promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and school spirit
  • Communicating effectively with players, families, and athletic administration
  • Coordinating schedules and program needs with the Athletic Department

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching experience preferred
• CPR certification required
