The SJCS girls and boys soccer teams won Region 2-2A championships and will begin the playoffs this week.

The St. Joe’s girls finished the regular season with an 11-7 record, including 6-0 in the region. Six of the seven losses came against high-caliber Class 5A programs, and six of the defeats were by one goal or on penalty kicks. They’ve won six games in a row and nine of their last 10!

The SJCS boys finished the regular season with an 11-4 record, including 8-0 in the region. They’ve really had to battle this season, winning all four of their games that went to penalty kicks. They enter the playoffs on a 10-game winning streak!

The girls team, the No. 1 seed, opens the playoffs at home against No. 16 Dixie at 6:00 PM Monday. (Click HERE for girls playoff bracket.) The boys, seeded fifth, play No. 12 Crescent in the first round at 7:00 PM Tuesday. (Click HERE for boys playoff bracket.)
