The Knights got off to a slow start and trailed 10-2 before coming to life. They were within 14-9 after Gibson hit two free throws with 5:15 left in the half.
Christ Church went on a 10-1 run, but St. Joe’s closed the half with Stockton scoring on a drive and Saunders hitting a pair of free throws, making it 24-14.
Burns nailed a 3-pointer to start the second half, but that was as close as the Knights could get. After Stockton converted a 3-point play to make it 29-20 at the 4:21 mark, the Cavs piled up a 17-point advantage by the end of the quarter.
The Knights finished with a record of 10-6. Three of the losses were by eight points or less, one in overtime, and another came against Travelers Rest, a region champion in Class 4A.
