The SJCS boys swim team defeated Christ Church 174-94 during a tri-meet Monday night at PMP Community Pool.

The Knights also lost to Eastside, the defending Class 4A state champion. The SJCS girls lost to Christ Church by two points and to the Eastside girls, also the reigning 4A champions.

In the boys win over Christ Church, Silas Crosby took first in the 200 and 400 freestyle, Colin Jordan in the 100 fly and 100 free, Jack Doyle in the 200 IM, and Nicholas Franchina in the 100 breaststroke.

Against Eastside, Crosby won the 200 and 400 free, Jordan the 100 fly and 100 free, Doyle the 200 IM, and Gabe Lagleva the 100 backstroke.

Jordan, Doyle, Crosby, and Lagleva teamed to win the 200 and 400 medley relays against both Christ Church and Eastside.

For the SJCS girls, against Christ Church, Mary Kate Farrell took first in the 200 and 400 free, Sylvia Walker in the 100 fly and Helen Norton in the 100 free.

Walker, Norton, Farrell, and Elizabeth Loudermilk won the 400 relay, and Lauren Schofield, Chloe Lonergan, Colleen Taylor, and Kelsey Fitzgerald won the 200 medley relay.

Against Eastside, Farrell placed first in the 400 free and Walker in the 100 back.

Next, the Knights will compete against Brashier Middle College and Southside Christian at home at Pelham Falls Pool at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22.
