Audrey Osburn (SJCS Class of 2018), a junior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, had a virtual internship this summer at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory.
Audrey worked remotely with scientists to study COVID-19 antigens and antibodies, in hopes of slowing or eliminating the rate of infection.
“The real-world impact of my work could potentially be finding the final piece of the puzzle that stops COVID-19 in its tracks,” she said, according to a story on the ERAU website.
That’s pretty impressive!
