Parents Guild
St. Joseph's Catholic School Parents Guild is an organization whose chief purpose is to work with the Headmaster to promote and foster parent support for the mission of the school, the academic, spiritual, and moral growth of its students, and the work of its faculty. Additionally, Parents Guild seeks to coordinate the involvement of the parents in the daily life of the school. If you are a parent or guardian of a currently enrolled student, you are a member of the Parents Guild.
Main fundraisers include: The School Store, Bi-Lo Center Concessions, and SCRIP Gift Cards. Proceeds from these fundraisers are used to host various events throughout the school year, including the New Family Social, Parent Orientation, Grandparents Day, Admissions Open House Reception, Catholic Schools Week Faculty Lunch, Pre-Prom Reception, After-Prom, Eighth Grade Convocation Luncheon, end-of-year Junior, Senior, and Faculty Luncheons, and the Baccalaureate Reception. Each year, Parents Guild also makes significant contributions to the school’s classroom budgets and special projects. In addition, Parents Guild volunteers work in the Cafeteria, School Store, office, and library. Finally, Parents Guild volunteers bake, cook, and serve at school functions and offer prayers, meals, and support for SJCS families in need.
