Campus Ministry

St Anthonys Campus Ministry 1

Campus ministry at St. Joseph’s is born from from the gaze of Christ who has looked upon us with love and called us to be an “evangelizing community”:

“An evangelizing community knows that the Lord has taken the initiative, he has loved us first, and therefore we can move forward, boldly take the initiative, go out to others, seek those who have fallen away, stand at the crossroads and welcome the outcast. Such a community has an endless desire to show mercy, the fruit of its own experience of the power of the Father’s infinite mercy.”

– Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium n. 24

More than a specific club or group, SJCS Campus Ministry is the organic, irresistible overflowing of the preferential love we have received from God in Christ. Campus IMG_4130Ministry events are born from a desire to share what was first received as a gift – from class retreats to mission trips to the smallest charitable work: “Freely you have received; freely you are to give” (Matthew 10:8).

In union with the Catholic Church and attentive to the teachings of the Holy Father, St. Joseph’s seeks to offer students the opportunity to witness the unsurpassing attractiveness of Jesus Christ and the life he shares with those who follow him: “whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14).
