Congratulations to SJCS rising ninth graders Jessica Gerac and Sara Gushue, who were recently selected as the recipients of the St. Joseph’s Scholar Award. This scholarship, awarded annually to two incoming freshmen, recognizes academic excellence. Both girls are current eighth graders at SJCS.

The STEM Scouts are at it again! Last month, the students learned about hydraulics, constructing their own working hydraulic arms and using them to pick up everyday objects. Boys Varsity Tennis is putting in the hours this season! Coach Kevin Meyer says that the majority of his team trains 4 to 5 days a week, combining team practices and individual clinics to improve their game. This week, TRACE – Teens Rising Against Challenges Every day – welcomed Mrs. Virginia Miller, a local therapist who specializes in stress and trauma issues. Mrs. Miller spoke with students about stress and anxiety as experienced particularly by teenagers and students.
