SJCS COAT DRIVE: A TRUE BLESSING TO ALL!

The SJCS Coat Drive was a tremendous success! Hundreds of coats, gloves, hats and blankets were donated and distributed to those in need. Our student, parent and staff volunteers did an outstanding job. A HUGE thanks to everyone who donated warm-weather wear!

Each child was allowed to select two coats, one hat and gloves. Amazingly, enough items were left over to allow Pastor Alfred Johnson’s staff to distribute the remaining coats to individuals living in nearby hotels and low-income apartment complexes. A delicious hot meal was served, and toys were distributed to kids as well. It was a true blessing to all involved.

If you are not already familiar with Pastor Johnson’s mission, Church Without Walls, check out its website here. These folks are doing some really amazing things in our Greenville community. To watch the video from the Coat Drive, click here. The password is JOSIAH.
