Jessica Sharp of Sharp Brain Consulting in Greenville recently visited Mrs. Meby Carr’s Psychology class to talk about mindfulness and lead the class in a meditation exercise.

“Ultimately, mindfulness is just a big concept that really means being focused on the present moment, so being really intentional about being here and in the moment, and that is really hard,” she said.

“There’s always kind of this stream of consciousness happening in our brain, which makes it incredibly hard to be really focused here on the present moment, so meditation is often put with mindfulness because meditation is a tool that can help you be more mindful.”
