FATIMA ROSARY PRAYER SET FOR OCT. 12 AT SJCS
On Saturday, October 12 at noon, on the hill in front of St. Joseph’s Catholic School, numerous members of the SJCS family will join with more than one million people from all over the world to say the Fatima Rosary prayer.
According to its website, America Needs Fatima has held this Public Square Rosary Crusade every year since 2007, with thousands of rosary rallies across the country.
In 2017, there were 21,570 rallies, and in 2018, there were 21,145 groups praying.
“We’re trying to put our country back together,” said Ted Kelly, a former SJCS board member and the St. Joe’s Rosary Captain.
The rallies take place each year on the closest Saturday to October 13, the date of the sixth and last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima and the Miracle of the Sun.
“It’s not easy for a lot of people to believe with the apparitions, but it’s been well documented and well observed over the centuries,” Mr. Kelly said.
This is the third year that a group will gather at St. Joe’s for the Fatima Rosary prayer, and Mr. Kelly said about 50 to 60 people have joined in the prayer each of the first two years. All are welcome. For more information, contact Mr. Kelly at firstname.lastname@example.org or Mr. Karl Orbon at email@example.com.
