SPORTS ROUNDUP: VOLLEYBALL TEAMS SWEEP OPPONENTS

The St. Joseph’s varsity volleyball team swept past rival Southside Christian 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-15) in a Region 1-2A match at home on Tuesday night. The Knights improved to 3-0 in the region.

The SJCS junior varsity rolled to a 2-0 victory (25-15, 25-19) over Southside Christian.

The Knights’ middle school team defeated visiting Lead Academy 2-0 (25-19, 25-22). Lucy Cordi was high-scoring server for St. Joe’s.

Girls Golf

With an overall consistent effort, the St. Joseph’s girls golf team defeated Ware Shoals 173-203 Tuesday at The Preserve at Verdae.

Reagan Lillibridge led the way for the Knights with a 42. Kaitlyn Dumit fired a 43, while Emma Curran and Caleigh Noonan each shot 44.

The Knights (7-2) next play Thursday in a tri-match against Daniel and Greer Middle College at The Preserve.
