SJCS GIRLS GOLF TAKES 2ND, GIRLS TENNIS 4TH IN TOURNAMENT

The St. Joseph’s girls golf team opened its regular season Wednesday with a four-way match at Greenville Country Club’s Chanticleer course.

Daniel won the team competition with a 174 total, and the Knights (2-1) finished second with 181. St. Joe’s was led by junior Emma Curran, who shot 41. Co-captains Kaitlyn Dumit, a junior, and Caleigh Noonan, a sophomore, posted 45 and 47, respectively. Freshman Marett Cole fired a 48, and junior Reagan Lillibridge had a 51.

Riverside (215) and Powdersville (218) rounded out the field.

The Knights are back in action today, Aug. 22, against Greer Middle College and Landrum at Greer Country Club.

Girls Tennis

The SJCS girls varsity tennis team placed fourth at the Furman Girls Preseason Invitational this past weekend. Christ Church won the championship, followed by J.L. Mann and T.L Hanna.

Eight teams from the Upstate competed. Daniel, Mauldin, Riverside and Travelers Rest rounded out the field.
