SJCS BOYS SWIM TEAM DEFEATS RIVERSIDE

The SJCS boys swim team snuck past Riverside by three points Tuesday night and lost to J.L. Mann.

The Knights had outstanding performances from junior Silas Crosby, who won the 500 free; senior Peter Permanente, who won the 100 fly; and senior Preston Jennings, who won the 100 free. The boys swept the 200 and 400 free relays with help from James Cline and newcomer Colin Jordan.

The girls team fought hard against Riverside and J.L. Mann, with junior Elizabeth Loudermilk winning the 500 free and sophomore Mary Kate Farrell winning the 200 IM.

The team achieved 15 individual state cuts, 22 additional consideration cuts, and four relay state cuts.

The Knights will compete in the Splashdown Invitational at the Greenville County Aquatic Complex Saturday.
