NICK LOUDERMILK TAKES SECOND IN THE STATE

SJCS junior Nick Loudermilk finished as Class AAA/AA/A state runner-up Monday in the South Carolina High School League’s boys tennis individual state tournament.

Nick, who earned a spot on the all-state team, won four consecutive matches to advance to the state final before losing to top-seeded Coy Simon of Philip Simmons. Nick also earned the tournament’s Sportsmanship Award.

The Knights’ Maclean Armstrong played in the tournament and lost in the consolation bracket. Brandon Hodge was invited but could not play due to AP exams.

Congrats to the Knights on a great season and to Nick for his all-state performance and excellent sportsmanship!
