Boys Track and Field State Champions

Saturday afternoon at Spring Valley HS in Columbia, the girls and boys track and field teams competed in their state championship meet. The boys team finished as State Champions by scoring 80 points! That was 22 points better than Keenan HS who finished in second. The following team members had top 5 finishes in their events:

Ford McCoy– 1st in the 800, 1st in the 1600, and 2nd in the 3200
Liam Martin– 2nd in the 400 and 4th in the 200
Brendan McTigue– 2nd in the 800 and 5th in the 1600
Jacob Peterman– 3rd in the 400
Josh Powers– 4th in the 1600 and 5th in the 800
4 x 800 relay team- 1st place (Ford McCoy, Brendan McTigue, Josh Powers, Zac Palmer)

The Lady Knights track and field team finished in 8th place. Annika Bissinger placed first in the 800 and 1600 and the 4 x 400 relay team (Annika Bissinger, Isabel Poinsette, Madison Turcotte, and Avery Brice) finished in 4th place.

The boys golf team is completing their season in North Augusta today and tomorrow by competing in the Class AA state tournament.
